Welcome to the website of the Central Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society (COMAS). We are glad you could make it and hope that you find the content of this site useful and informative. COMAS is pleased to announce the upcoming Second Annual Conference for Reef Aquarists and Saltwater Enthusiasts (CRASE) being held in Oklahoma City on October 25th 2008. This years speakers include Dr Ron Shimek, Dr. Sanjay Joshi, Dr. Paul Whitby and Mr. Adam Mangino. More details on the CRASE can be found at www.craseokc.com

The January COMAS meeting began at 7:30pm on the 20th, after being postponed due to snow on the 14th.
This was to be an informal meeting due to the number of people attending, which was over 130, and the number of prizes to be given away. There were virtually enough prizes for every paid member on the roster. The first thirty minutes were used by the membership to view the prizes to be given away. Attendees who wanted to join the club and existing members who wished to renew their membership chose this time to do so, before the prize giveaway.

The Central Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society would like to thank the Sunday Oklahoman for the excellent article running in the January 14th edition of the paper. The article "In the Swim" was written by Robert Medley and is on page 17A of the Local and State section.
We would also like to welcome readers of that article that have found their way to our club for the first time. And we'd like to give you a special invitation to our annual super door-prize giveaway and membership drive meeting this upcoming Saturday, January 20th. That meeting will take place at 7:30 PM at our regular meeting location on the University of Central Oklahoma Campus. For more information, read our article about the meeting.
Do note, however, that while EVERYONE is welcome at our meetings, only members are eligible for the super-duper giveaway. So perhaps now would be a great time to join our club. Not only does joining allow you to participate in this drawing. But it also allows you access to various other programs hosted by our club.

Lastly, we wish to apologize for any confusion due to an inaccuracy in the article in the Sunday Oklahoman. Memberships at the meeting this Saturday will be available at the ordinary cost of $25 a person, or $25 + $10 for an individual and associate membership.
