About COMAS
| Welcome |
|
The Central Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society (COMAS) is an organization composed of marine enthusiasts dedicated to educating and helping fellow reef and marine fish enthusiasts across the state. COMAS was started in 2000 and has grown from its original 6 members to over 100 current members. We have members whose interests cover all the possibilities of marine aquaria. We have specialists in Nano tanks, Large Tanks, Soft Coral and Hard Coral, Fish Only and species only tanks, such as Seahorses. We also have members who have interests in the propagation of corals and the breeding of marine fish, such as Clown fish and Bangaii Cardinals.
We hold meetings monthly, usually on the second Saturday of the month. These are commonly held at alternating venues, either at the UCO campus in Edmond or at member’s home. Each month we strive to provide an informative talk or discussion as well as offer door prizes to COMAS members. You do not have to be a COMAS member to attend meetings, but membership has its advantages. These include full access to the following programs. More information on these programs can found by following the Programs link on the top toolbar.
In addition to these programs COMAS members receive discounts at many of the Local Fish Stores across Oklahoma City.
Please feel free to browse the COMAS website and examine the many informative articles and programs that COMAS has to offer.
