Welcome to COMAS!!!

Welcome to the website of the Central Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society (COMAS). We are glad you could make it and hope that you find the content of this site useful and informative. At 8.00 Eric will present the "breeding of clownfish" seminar.  This is a topic I have wanted to see at a COMAS meeting for a long time now and I know many of you are equally excited about the thought of learning the nuts and bolts of propagation. With the success of the donor program, captive breeding programs are the next logical step forward for the club.  Eric has experience with many different species of clownfish and is currently basing his Doctoral thesis on the genetics of the species.  The information he has to share will be invaluable to anyone hoping to breed these beautiful animals.

In this regard I would also like to propose we set up a splinter group of individuals who would really like to pursue this as a goal and hopefully succeed and act as a collective of information for others to follow.  This will be one of the topics of conversation before and after the seminar.


 


In addition we will also be discussing water flow in marine systems, the practicalities and pitfalls. 

 

Door prizes this meeting will include gift certificates to local stores (Door prizes only available to COMAS members).

Take Broadway Extension to 2nd Street in Edmond turn right (East).  Take 2nd St. East to

University and turn left.  Turn right on Main at light into parking lot.  The meeting is in Howell Hall Annex.
