After the fabulous success of CRASE 2007, the Central Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society is pleased to announce the second annual Oklahoma City Conference for Reef Aquarists and Saltwater Enthusiasts (CRASE). This will be a single day event and will comprise keynote lectures by distinguished speakers in the area of saltwater aquariums.
This will replace the regular COMAS meeting this month.

Dr. Ron Shimek
Firstly, it is with great pleasure that the organizers of CRASE wish to announce that --after a great deal of requests from COMAS members---Dr. Ron Shimek will be returning to CRASE. Dr. Shimek will be discussing invertebrates used as clean up crews, commonly available and some not so commonly available. His talk will encompass the pros- the cons- the dos and the don'ts. Dennis Tagrin Dennis is one of the most well names in Reefkeeping- or at least his initials are. DEnnis is the owener of DT's phytoplankton. One of the first companies to offer commercially produced phyto for feeding marine tanks. His expertise with cultured microalgae is second to none. He will be discussing the use of phytoplankton preparations in marine systems.
Dr. Sanjay Joshi Dr. Paul W. Whitby Dr. Whitby is President of the Central Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society (COMAS) and has over 20 years experience as a saltwater hobbyist. Dr. Whitby will be discussing aquascaping techniques.

And the Grand Prize this year is: A complete 75gallon Reefready system. This comprises a 75g All Glass mega flow tank (Donated by Aquariums) a custom built Oak Stand and Canopy, 2 4 foot T5 lights, return pump, plumbing for the overflows and a sump. The stand and canopy are not stained so that you can match the system to your house decor. This prize is worth over $1,500.
Directions:
From Interstate 35: Take the East 2nd Street/US 77 South exit #141. Turn on to East 2nd westbound. Follow East 2nd Street for approximately 2.5 miles to Garland Godfrey Drive and turn right a stoplight. (See further instructions below.)
From Interstate 235/Broadway/UC77: Follow US77/Broadway into Edmond northbound to East 2nd Street. Turn onto East 2nd Street eastbound for approximately .5 miles to Garland Godfrey Drive and turn left at stoplight. (See further instructions below.)
Facing North, the building directly in front of you is the Nigh University Center. Follow signs to the Visitor Parking Lot, located directly to the East of the building. Entering through the main front doors, you are on the 2nd floor of the building.
