Information on an upcoming Seminar at Premiere Aquatics Tulsa 11/4/06 on Fish Diseases and Parasites
I wanted to pass this along. _______________________________________________ Premier Aquatics Seminar Series Scott will be continuing their proposed seminar schedule on saturday 4th of November from 6-8.00 Their address is: 6125 S Sheridan Rd Tulsa, OK 74133 918-497-1212 Topic – Parasites – Identification, Quarantine, & Treatments Presented By: Scott Kosciolek, President Premier Aquatics & Kenny Alexopolis, Oklahoma Aquarium Director of Science and Mechanics (Jenks Aquarium) Overview Description of “typical” parasite life cycle in the closed system Ramifications of parasites in the closed system Remedies Quarantine – Do’s and Don’ts ***Presented by Scott Kosciolek Slide show identification of problematic “bugs” Remedies Necropsy and techniques ***Presented by Kenny Alexopolis Question and Answer This program is scheduled from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Scott Kosciolek has spent 20 years in the aquarium industry. From managing retail stores to sales manager of Seachem Laboratories and the SERA company in Heinsburg Germany to President of Premier Aquatic Services, Inc. of Atlanta, GA. He has been featured on TBS, consulted on projects for water treatment facilities, studied under Dr. Jack Gratzk of the University of Georgia Ichthyology Dept. and author of several Ichthyology books, and installed/maintained custom displays throughout the United States. Kenny Alexopolis single handedly built the aquarium in Jenks, OK. He has consulted on captive environments for municipal facilities all over the US, including his latest project of a dolphin enclosure in Florida. He has developed a new method for the injection of ozone to closed systems that is safe and highly effective. Kenny designed and built all of the systems housing the animals in the aquarium at Jenks including the 30’ automated self cleaning protein skimmers. He has collected and transported animals from all over the world…from the largest Bull Sharks currently in captivity to the amazing Green Sea Turtles of the Caribbean. Store discounts available for the seminar are 30% off all livestock and 15% off all dry goods. Discounts will be honored on all special order items not available at time of seminar. |
